Elaine Cunningham

A former music and history teacher, Elaine Cunningham was drawn to fantasy by her love for folklore and mythology. She's best known for her books featuring elven characters. She lives in southern New England with her family, a pair of eccentric Siamese cats, an ever-expanding garden, and several thousand books.

Elaine Cunningham is definately one of my favorite fantasy authors. Her writing just really really appeals to me. I especially loved Evermeet: Island of Elves.
